The uncertainty brought on by the crisis, the resulting search for origins and a solid foundation, and the desire for change—this is perhaps how the main themes of Adam Kašpar’s exhibition *The First Temple* could ultimately be summarized. After all, what else are good paintings but fascinating—and at times even terrifying—mirrors of the external and internal worlds? And what else is a gallery but a designated space where one can reflect and experiment with their various constellations? Beware: even a small gallery can be quite a dangerous place in this sense.
